It's out! It's finally out! Mackenzie Blue's 4th book, Mixed Messages, hit the stores this Tuesday.

This series continues to address relevant social topics as Zee and her crew tap into the world of the interwebs by starting their own social networking site. With a title like "Mixed Messages" can't you just smell all the drama?
I'm not sure, but this might be the final book of the series. I hope not because working on this series was fun. Who wouldn't want to draw a bunch of quirky tweens and all their drama? I loved getting the chance to create a whole world and I got a bit sentimental when I was drawing the final illustration. This is my first major publication and I'm honored to have something published by HarperCollins. They're legendary and it was brilliant getting to work with such a huge publishing house. I'm really gonna miss Mackenzie and I hope that I get to do more stuff with her one day. It's also incredible to know that I've created something that gets me in the library of Congress. I'm part of history now! (I know it's nerdy but that stuff kinda thrills me for some reason.)
Anyways, if this does end up being the final chapter, then in the spirit of Thanksgiving 2010, I'd like to say that I'm extremely grateful for getting the chance to do my li'l book series. Drawing four books is a challenging feat of creativity and endurance but it was one of the most gratifying experiences of my life and a real dream come true.
